About The Department
The Department of Mathematics began its journey in 2006, offering the subject as a combination paper for the General degree course in undergraduate level. Honours course in Mathematics in Undergraduate level started in the year 2008. Subsequently it adopted the converted curriculum under the C.B.C.S norm w.e.f. 2017-18 session, followed by C.C.F. (NEP) norm w.e.f. 2023-24 session. In spite of having a backward socio-economic rural base, moderate percentage of the pass-out students of this department have either gone to Higher Education or joined to Govt/Semi Govt/Private Services. Some students of this department got engaged in IT Sector. After the establishment of the Department of Mathematics, the faculty members have paid their sincere efforts to improve the knowledge of mathematics among the students.
At present the department has one substantive teacher and three SACT. Till this date, the department has successfully conducted two national level webinars under the aegis of IQAC. Each year, Department has celebrated Teachers’ Day .The faculties of this department have been acting as paper setter as well as examiner of affiliating university.
